Huisregels

General Rules

• All instructions from hotel employees, relating the house rules, must be followed. Please report complaints to the management.
• In the event of a general fire alarm, leave the building immediately.
• Stay calm in case of a fire. Report a fire to the reception and/or press the nearest fire alarm.
• In case of a fire, do not use the lifts under any circumstances.
• Check-in is allowed from an age of 18 years. Minors must always be accompanied by a parent/legal representative. The presentation of a valid ID is mandatory. If the room is booked for 2 persons or more, a valid ID must be shown by all guests. Unregistered or other hotel guests are not allowed in the room. If such is detected, you will be ordered to leave the hotel immediately.
• There are cameras in various places inside and outside the building. Everyone who is in our hotel consents to recordings being made. In case of an incident and/or calamity, these recordings may be shown to the authorities as supporting material.
• Lost property must be handed in at the reception.
• Valk Exclusief Hotel Maastricht is not responsible for the loss or theft of your belongings.
• The Management, the owner of this location and/or persons working for the hotel cannot be held liable for any injury and/or material or immaterial damage suffered by visitors of the location.
• Valk Exclusief Hotel Maastricht reserves the right to enter your room at any time.
• If you are removed from the hotel, we are not responsible for the consequences and cannot be held liable for any fines and/or other damages.

It is not allowed to:

• Use emergency exits as normal entrances and exits.
• Take hotel property outside the building. Deliberately damaging hotel property may result in liability for repair and/or renewal costs.
• Consume, use, trade or carry narcotics in and around the hotel. This includes the use of soft and hard drugs and laughing gas. If found, we will proceed to evict you from the hotel.
• Cause disturbance to others in and around the hotel, for example by loud music, unruly behaviour or noise of any kind. Between 22:00 and 07:00, we ask you to keep it quiet please.
• Smoke in the entire building. E-cigarette smoking is also not allowed. If we find that people do smoke in the building, you will be charged a cleaning fee of € 150. If the fire alarm goes off due to smoking in the room, we will charge the fire brigade's call-out fee of € 275. For your and our safety (and that of other guests), covering/sabotaging our fire alarms/smoke detectors is absolutely forbidden. If we detect this, a fine of €150 will be imposed.
• Stay in the room with more people than the number booked. Receiving visitors is also not allowed.
• Possess weapons or other objects that can be used as weapons.
• Show verbal and/or physical violence towards staff or other guests.
• Use certain decoration (such as confetti) in the hotel rooms. Extra cleaning, technical defects and/or damage as a result will be charged. Ask the reception if your decoration is allowed.
• Light candles, incense, etc. due to the fire alarm and fire hazard.
• Receive guests in the room for the purpose of sex work. If this is observed or suspected, we will proceed with eviction, resulting in a report to the authorities. Recording footage for the purpose of online sexual activities is also not allowed.
• Record photo and/or video material for commercial or social-media related purposes without permission. For this, a written request must be submitted by e-mail, in which case recording is only allowed when this has been approved in writing by the hotel. In all other cases, this is not allowed.
• Use fitness and wellness facilities without having an hotel room. Violation of this rule is punishable by a fine of €150 per person, to be paid at the reception. If payment is refused, we will report you to the police.
• Rent a room in your name without staying in the room yourself. Subletting will result in immediate eviction.
• During all circumstances, we respect your privacy, however, we are authorised to enter your room in case of "non-compliance with our house rules" or a strong suspicion of it. Van der Valk Exclusief Hotel Maastricht maintains a Zero Tolerance Policy. This means that in case of non-compliance with our house rules, no warning will be given, but instead you will be requested to leave the hotel immediately. No money will be returned and any deposit paid will be retained. In all cases not covered by these regulations, the management of Van der Valk Exclusief Hotel Maastricht will decide.
