Alarm / Ambulance
In case of an emergency, please contact the hotel reception directly (dial 9). To request an ambulance immediately, call 0-112. Please do inform the hotel reception regarding your call and to receive First Aid help.

Bathrobe / Slippers / Swimming gear
At the hotel reception you can rent a bathrobe (€15,00). Swimwear can be purchased (€10,00).

Beauty
Enquire at the hotel reception regarding the possibilities and offers of Beauty-salon BellAllure.

Bicycles / E-Bikes
You can rent bicycles at the hotel reception. There are various bicycle routes in the area of which we can inform you.

Bicycle- / walking- and car routes and maps
Information regarding various routes can be requested from the hotel reception.

Blankets / Pillows / Towels
An extra pillow is available in the closet in your room. An extra blanket, pillow or towel(s) can be delivered to your room on request. All duvets, pillows and linen are anti-allergy and washed without bleach.

Candy / Snacks
Next to the reception there is a candy / snack vending machine.

Camera surveillance / Privacy
On these premises there is video surveillance in the public areas. Only accessible for the management of the hotel and the Dutch authorities. According to the European Privacy legislation we will handle your personal information with care.

Complaints / Suggestions
In case of having a complaint and/or suggestions please inform the hotel reception. Together with a Duty manager we will do our upmost best to solve this immediately.

Departure
On your departure day we request you to leave the room by 11.00 hrs latest. Our Maastricht Suite and Business Suite have a check out time of 12:00 hrs.

Do not disturb
If you don’t wish to be disturbed, please hang the ‘do not disturb’ sign provided on the door knob outside of your room. Room cleaning is possible between 10.00 hrs and 16.00 hrs.

Emergency exits
All emergency exits are provided with emergency lighting, these are indicated clearly in the corridors and public areas of the hotel.

Electricity
The electrical current is 220 Volts. Universal adaptors are available at the hotel reception.

Fire
In case of fire, please follow the below instructions:

  • Remain calm!
  • Set off the alarm by using the manual fire alarm in the corridor and alert the hotel reception immediately.
  • Close all windows and doors. Remain close to the ground in case of strong smoke development. Leave belongings behind.
  • Leave the building immediately, do not use the elevators.
  • Follow the instructions from the hotel staff and/or fire department.

Fitness
The fitness area is on the third floor of the hotel. The use of the gym is at your own risk. Opened between 07.00 hrs and 22.00 hrs.

Golf
There are several golf courses in the immediate area of Maastricht. For bookings or further information contact the hotel reception (dial 9).

House rules
To make your stay, and the stay of other guests, as pleasant as possible. Please respect following house rules:
Wear appropriate clothes in the restaurant and public areas of the hotel. In the hotel there is a non-smoking policy in all public and private spaces. Smoking will result in a penalty fee of €150.00. Avoid causing disturbance on the floor corridors between 22.00 hrs and 07.00 hrs. We do not serve alcoholic beverages to people under the age of 18 years old. A valid ID is required. The use of drugs is not permitted in our hotel and will result in dismissing the right to visit the premises. The full version of hotel regulations can be asked at the hotel reception and is published on the website.

Internet
WiFi wireless internet access is available in all public areas and hotel rooms. You can login by selecting the network ‘Valk Free- Wifi’ (KPN). When connected go to your browser to accept the terms & conditions and the connection.

Iron / Ironing board
An iron and ironing board are available at the hotel reception.

Laundry / Dry cleaning
It is possible to have your laundry cleaned by the hotel. You can hand in your laundry at the hotel reception before 09.00 on Tuesday to Friday (except public holidays) in the special laundry bag located in your closet and it will be returned to you the same day. You can ask for a price form at reception, which you should fill in with your name, room number and details of your laundry and quantities.

Lost and found
Please call the hotel reception if you have lost or found any personal belongings yourself or from other guests..

Luggage
In the hotel lobby luggage trolleys are available. If desired you can store your luggage, before and after your stay, in our luggage room on the ground floor. The hotel reception will assist you.

Mail
Messages will be kept for you at the hotel reception or will be delivered to your room.

Minibar box
The minibar box is available at the Front Desk and consists a selection of refreshments and snacks.

Newspapers
Newspapers and magazines are for sale at the Front Desk.

Parking
The parking is free for our hotel guests.

The police and fire brigade prohibit parking in front of the hotel entrance under an order. Parking is at your own risk

Restaurant
In the à la carte Restaurant you will enjoy specialties from the Italian and French cuisine as well as a seasonal menu of your choice. The kitchen opens daily from 17.00 hrs till 22.00 hrs. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday the Live Cooking dinner buffet is served. And on Sunday a Live Cooking brunch buffet.

Room service
Room service breakfast service is also available from 8.00 hrs till 10.00 hrs (if arranged the night before).
Refer to the room service menu for our offers between 12.00 hrs and 22.00 hrs. A €15,00 service charge will be added to each room service order. For room service (Dial 9).

Safe deposit box
In your room there is a safe in the wardrobe closet. Hotel van der Valk Maastricht is not responsible for disappearance or theft of valuable belongings. Kindly leave the safe open at the end of your stay.

Taxi
You can order a taxi at the hotel reception. Please indicate time and destination.

Tobacco / Cigarettes
Cigarettes can not be purchased at this hotel.

Toiletries / Amenities
In case that you have forgotten some of your toiletries the reception has some items available for free and for sale.

Top Cooling
The hotel rooms are equipped with a top cooling which will work when placing your card in the card holder.

Towels
Can you imagine how many tons of towels are unnecessarily washed every day in all the hotels all over the world and the enormous amount of washing powder needed which thereby pollutes our water? Please decide: Hand towels thrown into the bath means: ‘please exchange’. Hand towels placed on the towel-rails means: ‘I will use it again’.
